Queensferry Care provides Day Care opportunities for older people who have additional support needs, including those with a diagnosis of dementia, stroke or other long-term health conditions.

Day Care is available to anyone over the age of 65 on a continuous basis.  One of the most important aspects of day care is that it allows people to socialise with their peers. Queensferry Care promotes a person centred approach to delivering services with day care members being offered transport, lunch, assistance with personal care and a wide range of activities that are designed to meet the individual’s needs. Activities are agreed with our day care members through regular group meetings as well as through their individual support plans.  Activities combine mental, physical and social stimulation.
These include:

  • Socialising
  • Reminiscence
  • Quizzes
  • Word Games
  • Exercise
  • Various trips & outings

Day Care runs Monday to Friday

Monday The Haven Dementia
Tuesday The Haven Long-term health conditions
